PROJECT: Advanced carbon@MOF composites for gas storage and separation
Host Institution: CEITEC Masaryk University
Country of Origin: Írán
Previous Workplace: Canada
TOPIC OF MY RESEARCH:
I have been working for several years with advanced materials based on carbon nanostructures and metal organic complexes. These advanced porous materials are applicable in the gas industry and devices for energy storage.
WHY I HAVE CHOSEN THE TOPIC:
Our project is proposed as an implementation of top-class research of advanced composite materials that can be used for adsorption and gas separation. This topic has attracted my attention due to its multidisciplinary character in research activity as well as in transfer of knowledge to industry searching for new materials and improvement of manufacturing processes.
USE OF THE PROJECT RESULTS IN PRACTICE:
Design and development of the new porous composite materials could bring new possibilities in their direct as well as indirect application in gas refinery, health centres and universities. The project will contribute to transfer of exceptional innovative ideas into the real use not only in the South Moravian region but it has a potential for the worldwide impact.
WHY SOMOPRO:
SoMoPro is a unique opportunity enabling young researchers to work in the South Moravian region at excellent research institutions such as CEITEC MU and it considerably contributes to professional development. My project under SoMoPro will certainly influence positively my future career at adequate positions such as research worker at a prestigious university or a research head in R&D department of a pioneering company in my field.
