O projektu
A stem cell niche is a micro-environment where stem cells reside. However, not much is known about its true nature in vivo. By using the mouse incisor as a model system, my project aims to show stem cell ability to interchange their phenotype in response to their environment, thus allowing high tissue adaptability. To address their dynamics, we will use state-of-the-art methods such as scRNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics. This will bring a better understanding of stem cell niche homeostasis.
Proč dělám vědu?
A curious mind is like a perpetual student, always seeks knowledge in the wonder of the unknown. Science is our greatest tool to answer our questions on the unknown, and challenge our prevailing knowledge and theories, thus better shaping our understanding of the world.
Proč mám rád/a Brno
Brno is a city where good coffee meets exciting science! The people are very friendly and helpful, and the scientific community here is great. To me, it feels quite cozy and familiar, like a second home.
