About the project
Bisphenols are chemicals found in everyday plastic products. My research focuses on the effect of these substances on two interconnected systems that are essential to the health of the body: the immune system and the gut microbiome. In addition to understanding the health risks associated with bisphenols, my aim is to develop a methodology for studying the effects of chemicals on the gut microbiome-immune system, and thus contribute to the development and use of safer and healthier materials.
Why science?
The thing I appreciate most about scientific work is the stimulating academic environment full of imaginative and hard-working people who strive to better understand nature and preserve it for future generations. For me, science is the curiosity and joy of discovering new things, driven by the urgency of the need to solve environmental problems.
What do I like most about Brno
Brno offers the perfect balance between urban comfort and access to nature. It provides a wide range of educational and scientific institutions, employment opportunities, as well as sports and cultural activities. For me, the forests around Brno are a great place for relaxation.
