Study and prediction of protein solubility in biomedical and biotechnological research
Lector: prof. RNDr. Zbyněk Prokop, Ph.D.
Institution: Masaryk University, Faculty of Science
Field: Molecular and Cell Biology and Genetics
About the project
Proteins, macromolecules vital to every cell's function, face a challenge: lack of solubility. My target is to predict and enhance solubility using cutting-edge methods, impacting biomedicine (e.g., stroke treatment) and biotechnology. By combining biology, AI, and engineering I aim to bridge gaps in protein knowledge, creating a foundation for better-designed proteins, addressing health and environmental challenges.
Why science?
Engaging in science, I find an endless journey of discovery and a potent tool for positive change. This field is my avenue for contribution to meaningful advancements and pushing the boundaries of what we know and can achieve. Science is more than a career choice for me; it is a lifelong commitment to exploration, discovery, and contributing to the collective understanding of our world.
What do I like most about Brno
For me, Brno is an ideal environment for both academic and personal growth. The city's rich cultural heritage, strong academic community and sincere atmosphere of mutual cooperation make it an exciting place not only for my PhD studies but for life in general.
