About the project
Acute ischemic stroke is the second most frequent cause of death worldwide. The treatment of patients is laborious and costly which means, that for people living in third-world countries, is usually inaccessible. Bacterial protein staphylokinase could be the cheap alternative. My task is to fully comprehend the mechanism of action and discover such recombinant variants that could be used in medicine.
Why science?
I believe that working in research is my opportunity to contribute to shaping our future. Especially nowadays, when conflict seems to be the main focus of society, science feels like a haven of cooperation and trust in better tomorrows.
What do I like most about Brno
Despite being quite a small city by world standards, one can find a lot of opportunities to work in quality science.
