About the project
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic disease, leading to serious health problems, often accompanied by dysbiosis and enrichment in certain bacterial species. In consequence, presumably also the production and composition of bacterial extracellular vesicles (EVs) in the gut change. In order to develop an effective cure for IBD, the role of microbiota-derived EVs should be considered; inhibition of pro-inflammatory EVs uptake by host cells may emerge as a promising approach for IBD cure.
Why science?
I am fascinated by nature and living organisms, particularly by the complexity of the human body.
What do I like most about Brno
I love the atmosphere of the city - friendly people, cozy coffee bars, lots of trees and peaceful pace of life.
