Decoding ERK signalling patterns underlying physiological and cancerous cell behaviour

About the project
To develop new therapies for breast cancer patients it is essential to understand basic cellular mechanisms behind mammary gland development and their changes in cancer. ERK is a major signalling hub connected to different cell behaviors in normal development and cancer. Here I will use advanced biosensor systems, 3D organoid cultures, state-of-the-art imaging and molecular biology techniques to investigate ERK patterns connected to beast development and cancer initiation and progression.
Why science?
When working in science no two days are the same. At one moment you are in the lab working with mice or cell cultures, at the other you are siting at the microscope making amazing images or analyzing data and writing scientific manuscripts on the computer. It requires plethora of skills that you can develop every day. It is constant learning and diversity.
What do I like most about Brno
Brno is a big and a small city all in one. There are plenty of places to visit, people to meet and things to try. But the most important, it is the most dog friendly place, so I can take my furry friend almost anywhere with me.
