Security of elliptic curve cryptography revisited
Lector: prof. RNDr. Václav Matyáš, M.Sc., Ph.D.
Institution: Masaryk University, Faculty of Informatics
Field: Cryptography
About the project
Security of elliptic curve cryptography faces many challenges nowadays. The standardization of elliptic curves is not trusted due to previous manipulations. Vulnerabilities in practical implementations appear due to incomplete understanding of curves. Furthermore, classical cryptography is no longer secure in the context of quantum computers. This project aims to closely study these problems to improve the current state of elliptic curve cryptography.
Why science?
After finishing my Ph.D. studies I would like to move to the private sector. My goal will be to bridge the gap between academic research and practical implementation.
What do I like most about Brno
I will mention three things: Masaryk university, public transport and quality food.
