Resolvents of Hyperoperads
Lector: RNDr. Martin Markl, DrSc.
Institution: Masaryk University, Faculty of Science
Field: Mathematics
About the project
Batanin-Markl's theory of operadic categories is a new, general approach for description of operads and operad-like structures as algebras over a certain terminal hyperoperad. Resolvents of these hyperoperads describe homotopical versions of the structures, which have numerous and nontrivial applications to other fields of mathematics and physics. The aim is to explicitely describe the resolvents of some of the hyperoperads.
Why science?
The current plan is to finish the PhD, do a postdoc or two abroad and then return to Brno to do research at Masaryk University or the Academy of Sciences.
What do I like most about Brno
I grew up here. There is a lot of accesible cultural events - theatres, concerts, festivals and also a lot of opportunities how to get involved in them. There are many places to meet friends or family over a dinner or a glass of beer. The size of the city is ideal - not too small, so there is everything one might ever need, but not too big at the same time. One can still ride a bike through the city. I also appriciate the beautiful nature near Brno.
