About the project
The development of technological tools uncovered the variety of processes different types of RNAs participate in. However, to allow proper function RNAs have to undergo processing. Wrongly processed RNAs or RNAs that have already fulfilled their purpose must be recognized and submitted to RNA degradation. In this project we will investigate the molecular mechanisms of how two key enzymes, DIS3L2 and ISG20L2, recognise and degrade target RNAs and how their activities act in disease and immunity.
Why science?
I would like to do the things I love, in a place where I am equally appreciated as a researcher and as a person. It doesn't matter to me if it is here or abroad, as long as the work fulfils my need for exploring unknown.
What do I like most about Brno
I was born in Brno, I have lived here all my life, so for me it is a place filled with love and memories, family and friends.
