Exploring molecular pathways for better stratification and therapy administration in CLL patients

About the project
The pathogenesis of lymphoproliferative diseases is related to genomic changes affecting the sensitivity of tumor clone to anti-tumor therapy. A major challenge is detailed understanding of molecular processes leading to the heterogeneity of diseases such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The aim of this project is to describe the molecular pathways and their modulations in leukemic cells in the context of clonal evolution and to specify the association with therapy outcome.
Why science?
I will work hard to complete my PhD studies in 2023, in the standard study period. Then, I want to continue doing the research in hematooncology with clinical settings. As a postdoctoral researcher, I would like to manage some research projects and apply for research fundings by my own. Furthermore, I plan to go for an internship abroad.
What do I like most about Brno
I most appreciate about Brno that there are many opportunities for career development but also free time activities. The city supports science and technologies and provides good atmosphere for young people.
