About the project
The dynamic membrane-less cellular organelles are formed by liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) mechanism. These organelles serve as microreactors increasing a local concentration of components and accelerate the reaction. I propose to study the phase separation of RNA polymerase II by a combination of microscopy approaches and molecular biology techniques. My study will decipher how is the process of LLPS controlled and connected to diseases which may originate from perturbation of LLPS.
Why science?
After receiving my Ph.D., I would like to spend a time abroad to gain new skills and acquire new methods. Being abroad will be a great opportunity to cooperate with new scientists and extent stay as a post doc. All experiences will be useful for establishment of my own group in Brno.
What do I like most about Brno
I like that Brno is a modern city with a great atmosphere, many opportunities and nice people.
